The mission of Faith And Friends Radio is…
Harnessing the world’s technology to impact the world for Christ…
Faith and Friends is a 24/7 broadcast outreach of Wells Of Salvation Ministries. WOS was founded in 1979 by Dr. Edmund E. Wells, utilizing the spoken Word, the Word in song, and has from the beginning utilized radio airwaves as one means of spreading God’s Good News.
With the skyrocketing usage of Internet, smart phones and social media, and with daily advancing technological capabilities, founders of Faith and Friends along with the Wells Of Salvation Board of Directors, believed it prudent and good stewardship to establish a worldwide presence through Godly programming of Internet radio.
Faith and Friends originates from our Broadcast Center in Dayton, Ohio. The state-of-the-art facility is a tribute to the memory of Dr. Wells and his wife Agnes who ministered together for over 60 years before being called home to be in the presence of our Lord.
“It’s Internet radio done right.” says co-founder Melody Morris. “Most streaming sounds like a juke box but our Lord taught us to be relational in His time here on earth. He personally ministered among the people.” Morris says while the trend in radio is to voice track and automate, Faith and Friends is intentional about live broadcasts and DJs who share their personalities with listeners. They also focus much of their time in the community, oftentimes broadcasting live on-location at various times of the day, utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
Bill Nance, a broadcast veteran of over 50 years, member of the Dayton-Area Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame, and co-founder of Faith And Friends, says their music is carefully selected. “It’s music that hits the heart,” explains Nance. “It’s our hope that our music selections will put a positive focus on your day, encourage you, and bring praise and prayer to your lips.”
Our programming is intended to be thought-provoking, with an unwavering devotion to Biblical truths.
“Listening habits have changed,” says Nance. In a highly mobile society, people often drive out of the signal range of terrestrial radio, but not so with Faith and Friends. “Studies now show more people listen online through a device than listen through a traditional radio receiver.” Bluetooth connectivity means you can take Faith And Friends Radio anywhere you go – in the car, for a hike, a bike ride, out-of-state – and out-of-country. A variety of apps, including iHeart Radio, Tune In Radio, and Amazon Echo allow you to listen anytime, anywhere. The time to bring the Good News to the world via this technology is now and at a fraction of the cost.”
Faith And Friends Radio has now reached every country in the world.
